Photos from Arashiyama 2009

The following set of photographs of my favourite city in Japan (so far), Arashiyama is located to the west of Kyoto and is quite simply stunning.

I visited in 2006 for the first time and 24th of October 2009 I revisited. On both occasions I have found the locals to be very friendly and have enjoyed exploring the various sites including: an awesome monkey park; a small old temple high up in a mountain; a large park with bamboo forests; a quaint and very beautiful river and a lot of nice places to eat.
